I guess it is time for another test… I have been browsing, trying to find something original. When I first looked at the one I pick for you today, I was expecting something boring and not very challenging. Then… I changed my mind because I found a couple of interesting traps!… Who would think of a quiz on consonants without setting a few traps here and there? Not me of course!!!
At first glance it looks rather easy… yet when you see the same word written with one consonant and then with two, for some reasons, you start doubting! I believe it is because you see both together… something unusual since we know how this words are written. Well… at least whe should know! I got 60/60 yet I did hesitate on two… at one point, I was not sure! But I decided to trust my instinct, after all I wrote these words quite a few times in the course of my life, right?… I am curious to know whether you will find these two strange words because they actually are exceptions to the rule!
Today it really smelled like SPRING outside… there is no more snow on the ground!
Yet I am eager to see some green…

A few more weeks and we should see some change in the scenery!
Be patient and, in the meantime, click here to take today’s quiz…
Amusez-vous!

Bonjour Lyne,
45/60 this time. It’s true . . . you really second guess yourself when you see the two options. And as always, your tests require careful consideration. Think there’s a spelling gene? It’s always amazing to me how some people can–or cannot–spell well, regardless of intelligence. Thank goodness for spell check!
Hello Diane!
Quite a good score! Only one mistake!
I know I do second guess myself when I see two (or more) options: I hate multiple choice tests!… Only for that reason.
A spelling gene? I have no clue but I know some people just can’t get it in their heads! On the other hand, some others just write naturally without even using spell check!
BTW, only ANTIDOTE software provides us with accuracy regarding both grammar and spelling in French… I wouldn’t trust anything else!
Have a great weekend!
