I cannot believe it is Saturday again!… Time for another little quiz I guess! The sound [s] in French may take various forms: [s], [ss], [sc], [t], [c]… Sometimes it can be tricky, especially for Anglophones learning French.
Today I picked a text (containing work related vocabulary) in which 10 words with the sound [s] are not correctly written… I think the most difficult part is to spot them all! Therefore be careful not to miss one or two… maybe you should count them to make sure you found them all. It is simple enough, all you will have to do is choose between -ciaire (or -tiaire), -tiel (or -ciel), -cien (or -tien), -tieux (or -cieux) and -sion (or -tion). Actually you should do pretty well on that quiz… all you need to do is to find the mispelled words, the rest should be easy! Of course, I got 50/50… although I had to read the text 3 times! For some reason, I could not find the 10th word!… Maybe I need new contact lenses!

Tu dois avoir un correcteur additionnel sur ton ordi parce qu’ici rien n’est souligné!
Que se passait-il lorsqu’il s’agissait de textes présentant des participes passées mal accordés? À moins que ton correcteur ne repère que les fautes d’orthographe et non celles d’accord…
Une bonne chose à savoir! Je garderai cela en tête lorsque je choisirai mes tests!

Je garderai quand même ce détail en tête : éviter les tests ne présentant que des fautes d’orthographe!
