Imperative… Does it Take a “S” or not?

I guess it is time for another quiz… Lately I have been working around the clock on both reading comprehension and written expression SLE tests with my trainees… I have to say that they are quite difficult!… Anglophones have a hard time to see all the traps (and even some Francophones!) and there are days I want to scream! I do believe it is so unfair to have people taking this kind of useless tests… because they have nothing to do with knowledge! When I am helping people to get ready for their exams, I am teaching anything but French!

Tonight I had a 90 minute online session with Krystal in Toronto… a couple of things went wrong in the classroom and I ended up with four attendees! I mean… there were only Krystal and me but it looked like both of us had entered the room more than once… In a way it was kind of welcome because we both needed a good laugh! And… actually, after a couple of jokes, she started performing much better. Stress is my trainees’ worse enemy!…

Anyways… all this to say that I chose an easy test for you tonight. I saw enough traps for today! All you will have to do is to write imperative verbs correctly… quite easy!… I got a perfect score on this one too. I am sure you can do the same!…

More than three weeks ago, the twin chipmonks living in my garden got out!

I know you will not believe me… but these little guys never get out before the last snowfall… People made fun of me saying there would be snow before the end of March! Well… in spite of the weather forecast calling for snow a couple of times, we never saw one white flake since!

I love you guys!

Bonne chance!

    Bonjour Lyne,

    Whoops Diane!!!

I deleted your comment by accident! :-( If my memory’s good, here’s what you had written:

    MY FIRST PERFECT SCORE!…

    Sorry… I had to shout that! :-)

And you had the right to SHOUT!!! It’s interesting to observe how people do on those tests… Isabelle had a tough time today… and you? well… you soared all the way through! ;-)
