This week was hectic as usual! Alicia took her oral interaction test yesterday morning… she was led in the fourth part of the exam and less than 30 minutes after she had entered the exam room, she was calling me! If she were a beginner in French, it would worry me!… Well… this phenomenon is observed with bilingual people. Since they do not struggle and speak at normal speed, this test is usually wrapped up quickly. I did not hear from her today, therefore she might get a C… although I am no longer sure of anything now. And Joyce in Moncton contacted me again… she might need me to help her preparing for the oral exam: if everything went well with her job interview yesterday, she will be invited to take the test.
I skyped Luna around lunch time and we had a nice conversation… she is now ready to face the music again. We will resume training towards the end of next week. Wednesday I started working with Yong in Montreal: he will take his oral test next Thursday! Once again, it is la course contre la montre… I should be used to this kind of pressure by now, but still…
Today, I chose to test your knowledge regarding Latin expressions… Except for a couple, most of them are widely used and you should not have too much trouble finding what they mean in French. I got 50/50… I did hesitate on two and I reasoned to find out which one of the translations would apply best… maybe it was only luck! Nevertheless, I made the right decision… it will be interesting to see how you will do on this test!
Weather has finally improved and, if the end of the hockey season is approaching, the soccer season started and the kids are very happy around here!

If you do not play soccer, play my game instead by clicking here!
Bonne chance!
Finally, after a few months of laziness, I did update the Correct your mistakes page. The word to replace or to use in right contexts is LIGNE… When you will have a minute, have a look at it: you might learn a few things!

Bonjour Lyne,
J’ai eu 50/50 aujourd’hui !
Je ne connaissais pas “ex professo”, mais j’ai pu trouver sa définition par déduction (c’est à dire quand toutes les réponses ont été utilisées et qu’il n’en restait qu’une – lol !!).
Bon week-end
Bonjour Isabelle!
