After six entire warm and sunny days, we are back to the grisaille… and if the weather forecast is accurate, we should not see the sun before next week. I am sure some people here will be disappointed because, this coming weekend, it will be the Dragon Boat Race… any planned outdoors activities around here in the summer are threatened by some bad weather conditions!
Since everything looks so greyish outside, I picked a colourful text that might brighten your day… once again, you will have to write adjectives designating colours. If you remember the rules of the test I had posted some weeks ago, you should not encounter major problems. When I checked my answers though, I was told I had made two mistakes… then I had a closer look and realized that #1 and #12 do not register our answers as correct (although their answers and ours are identical)… Therefore by adding up those two answers, I got 60/60… Do not forget to do the same if you see you answered correctly!
Hopefully next week will bring back the sun!
Then we will be able to enjoy the beach before Summer is over…

J’ai eu 55/60 (je suis tombée dans le piège de fauves…).
J’ai aussi répondu châtain (qui était admis). Je n’avais jamais entendu dire châtaine auparavant, une exception québécoise peut-être (d’ailleurs mon correcteur orthographique vient de souligner châtaine comme incorrect !!)

Dommage que tu sois tombée dans le piège de la couleur «fauve»… en revanche, je trouve que tu t’en tires très bien en ce qui a trait au adjectifs/noms de couleur comparativement à bien des francophones!
Moi aussi j’ai choisi «châtain»… admissible évidemment! Il y a certaines règles de la langue française qui ont été révisées au Québec, toutefois les règles de base demeurent aussi en vigueur (donc les suivre n’est pas considéré comme étant une faute). Quel était le but de cette révision? Je n’en sais trop rien… dans le cas de «châtain», je ne vois vraiment pas en quoi la nouvelle règle facilite la vie! Au contraire… il faut accorder et, de plus, ça sonne bizarre… ne trouves-tu pas?

Je suis d’accord avec toi… et honnêtement je serais étonnée d’apprendre qu’il y ait des gens qui emploient cette version (à moins que ce ne soit ce que l’on enseigne maintenant au jeunes à l’école)!
