105 Prepositions… No Kidding!

Of course, there is nothing such as 105 prepositions in French!… It would be a nightmare for sure!… People already have a hard time figuring out which one to choose with the few we have!

Today I am giving you a set of 105 flashcards with one conjugated verb followed with an infinitive… All you will have to do is to pick the correct preposition to link those two verbs: DE, D’, À or NONE if there is no need for one. Simple no?… Of course you can try to beat the clock at the same time! Yet you can choose to take your time and read carefully… the choice is all yours! Do not forget to let me know how you did!…

HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!

I can’t get past the card ‘nous refusons de vous accompagner à cette réunion’ - each time I get to this one my computer refuses to accept an answer (good or bad), but the good news is that each time I try it my score goes up! I got close to 100% just doing the first 32 cards. Perhaps after several more tries I’ll get ‘arriver à’ correct though. The system isn’t very random though – most of the time I’m getting the same cards back, so it’s good practice on those verbs.

      Salut Alice!

Managed to persuade my computer to get past the problem card. My score dropped considerably, but I still managed 52% and have now learned a few new words for my PSC vocabulary. It will be good practicing this over the next month to see whether I improve.

I shall not reveal my score. It was depressing! Good quiz though. Tells me how much work I have to do!

      Hello Daniel!

It’s nice to see you here! Was it that depressing? ;-)

Don’t worry, it will eventually sink in! And you should give my other tests a try when you’ll have some time! I’m also planning to have more flash cards!

      À bientôt!

I clearly have not studied enough. There are just too many to learn! I think I did better than last time… 760.

Much better than last time Daniel!

Don’t worry, this comes with repetition… no one is expecting you to retain all this at once!!! It will take some time… yet you improved! ;-)
